OUR STORY

Our Story

Established in 2019

Shurrun’s House was established in 2019 as a 501(c)(3) certified recovery home. Since then, we have provided safe and supportive housing to men, women, and young adults in recovery.

With a focus on serving low-income individuals from underserved communities, we address the additional challenges faced by those seeking recovery resources — because recovery is about more than sobriety. It’s about housing, health, work, and hope.

Keeping Our Doors Open

Despite the pandemic, we kept our doors open, providing a lifeline to those struggling with substance abuse when they needed it most.

Our Impact

Our success stories highlight the program’s impact. Formerly entrapped by addiction, individuals have reclaimed their lives — securing employment, completing education, and achieving certifications. This demonstrates the efficacy of our approach in addressing root causes and providing holistic support.

The demand for our services has grown, emphasizing the urgent need for continued support and expansion. As we seek funding, we aim to amplify our impact, ensuring more individuals break free from the chains of substance abuse and find hope through our program.
